Summer Holiday

I have not been sure what has been going on, Mummy spent days running around the house shoving things into bags and the car and then suddenly I get loaded in too! We were in the car for quite a long time but I got to have big naps which suited me fine. We had a couple of stops on the way for lunch and it was strange Granny, Grandpa and Archie were there, I got lots of kisses mostly from Archie.

Eventually we arrived at our new home in some place called Portuairk, it was small but that was good it meant I could go anywhere I wanted. Mummy said we would be staying a while which was fine but I didn't know where Daddy or Casper were, I looked everywhere for them, think Mummy forgot to pack them.

After a couple of damp days and a lot of walking around it finally got sunny and we went to the beach. The beach is great, like really great! There is stuff called sand that's not for eating but sticks to my toes, water that moves and is very cold, seaweed that I like to touch with my toes cause it is slimey and shells that I can keep in my bucket.



We went to the beach almost every day, and one day Mummy took me away by ourself and we went to a place called Tobermory, Mummy kept singing a strange song about a place called Balermorey to me but I didn't understand what she was talking about. We took the ferry which was fun a little girl was talking to me and I got to look out the window at the sea. We spent the day wondering around and I had great fun watching all the people but before I knew it I was back on the ferry and heading back to our cottage by the beach.

Most days in the afternoon I went a walk with Granny and Grandpa they would take me in my pram so I could have a nap, I liked it cause when I woke up I got to play with flowers they picked for me and see the sheep and highland cows in the field. Mummy said she is proud of me cause she asked what noise a sheep makes and I said "Baaaaa!"

After a week in the little cottage everything was packed up in the car again, I didn't know what was going on, were we moving house again? We then went to the beach in the morning and I even got to eat my lunch there, I had sandy sandwiches and it was followed by me going skinny dipping! I like the sea it's fun, I didn't do much swimming though it was mostly splashing. We then got packed up and went back to the car for a long drive again, well I say long I don't really know I slept from the moment I got in the car until we arrived at house number 2.

The second house was cool there was sheep at the garden, well over a fence but there were right there! I did a silly thing when we got there I was so excited about investigating the house that I fell over and bumped my head, and I got a big bruise. Mummy and Granny put peas on it and gave me medicine, it made me sleepy so it wasn't long before I had supper and went to bed.

The next day we headed off to a couple of beaches, it was fun to be somewhere different and I got to see a castle. This first beach was cool there was oyster shells, mummy was wading about looking for some but couldn't find a closed one, I helped cause I got to paddle in the Loch, it was warmer than the sea I liked it. The second beach we went to for a little while but it was a bit cloudy so we didn't stay long. Mummy said the next day we would be going home to see Daddy. I missed him, I was telling lots of story of Dad to everyone.

On the last day while Mummy was packing again, I visited the neighbours. It was fun they had cool earrings.



I had a fun holiday, really enjoyed being on the beach playing.
